2.0 Assembly and Installation

2.1 Installation Planning

NOTE: Follow all national and local building and electrical codes.
•
To reduce the risk of fire, do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of the heater.
•
If using the power cord supplied, plan a location for the power cord to connect to an electrical box accordingly.
•
Select a suitable location that is not susceptible to moisture and is away from drapes and furniture.
•
If you are installing this fireplace in a recessed installation then the appliance must be hardwired. All work is to be performed
by a licensed electrician. Follow all applicable local, and national (NFPA 70) electrical codes.
2.2 Selecting Your Installation Options
This appliance can be installed in several different options. This appliance can be:
Insert
•
Install the fireplace in an existing wood burning fireplace. Install a shroud on the fireplace to cover the remaining opening
around the fireplace.
Recessed installation
•
Install the fireplace in a framed opening.
•
