2.3 Appliance Preparation for Installation

2.3.1 Insert Installation

Ensure there is an electrical connection inside the existing opening.

Install the provided power cord. See Section 2.9.

Remove the (5) screws along the top edge and (2) screws on each side to be able to install a shroud. Install the shroud to
the fireplace as shown in right image in Figure 2.4. Locate the top and bottom holes on each side of the shroud and secure
with the provided screws.
2.3.2 Recessed Installation

Prepare the appliance by bending the nailing flanges for installation. See Section 2.4 for more information on the nailing
flanges.

Determine the location of your hardwire electrical location and adjust the electrical connection on the box as necessary. See
Section 2.9.
