Annotation

The Annotation feature provides you with the capability to add a printed comment,
date, page number, or Bates Prefix number to copied output images. This can help
you organize groups of copied documents by marking them with related information.
Options:
The Comment option allows you to turn on or turn off the Comments option. You

can add a new comment (20 characters maximum) or choose an existing comment
from the list provided on the User Interface. Comments are printed in a fixed location
at the bottom of each copied page.
Inserting a colon (:) in the Comments field enables the Bates Prefix option.
Characters inserted to the left of the colon (:) will appear on the bottom left of the
page, while characters inserted to the right of the colon will form the Bates Prefix
for the page number on the bottom right of the page.
You can use the Page Numbering option to print a page number in a fixed location

at the bottom of each copied page. Page numbers (from 1 to 999999999) will
automatically be sequenced by 1, beginning with the initial page number you
designate.
When a colon (:) is used in the Comments field, the page number format will be
zero-filled (000000001, 00000002, 00000003). However, when a colon is not used
in the Comments field, the page number is formatted as a single digit (1, 2, 3).
You can use the Date option to print the current date in a fixed location at the

bottom center of each copied page. The date printed will match the current date
set in the system.
NOTE: Annotation cannot be used with paper sizes smaller than seven inches
(length or width).
