Removing the Main Keypad

Preparation: Back Housing is removed.
1. Lift the Main and Controller Boards out from their housing bosses as a unit. No strain on Flex-
Connector.
2. From the outside, push the Keypad's Scroll key in. Peel out remainder of keypad.
NOTE: Do not pull the keypad at the lower boss — lift the keypad away.

Separating the Main and Keypad Boards

Equipment Required: Black stick
Preparation: Back Housing removed.
CAUTION: Do not bend or twist the Keypad Board.
NOTE: Boards are joined at the connector and by an adhesive pad.
1. While keeping the board assembly seated, place flat end of Black Stick between boards at Can
side opposite Audio Jack.
2. Gently push Stick between boards to start separation of hidden black adhesive pad.
3. Carefully push Stick in and down keeping Keyboard in place.
4. Continue to work Stick in and down fractionally while moving back and forth along width of
can to gradually separate adhesive.
