5.10 MIG (GMAW/FCAW) SETUP

Select Trigger Mode Button
The trigger mode control is used to switch the functionality of
the MIG Gun trigger between 2T (normal) and 4T (latch mode).
2T Normal Mode
In this mode, the MIG Gun trigger must remain depressed
for the welding output to be active. Press and hold the MIG
Gun trigger to activate the power source (weld). Release
the MIG Gun trigger switch to cease welding.
4T Latch Mode
This mode of welding is mainly used for long welding
runs to reduce operator fatigue. In this mode the operator
can press and release the MIG Gun trigger and the output
will remain active. To deactivate the power source, the
MIG Gun trigger switch must again be depressed and
released, thus eliminating the need for the operator to
hold the MIG Gun trigger.

C. Select Shielding Gas Type or Gasless Mode
Select the correct Shielding Gas Type for the MIG wire
being used or Gasless mode. If in doubt, consult the MIG
wire manufacturer.
Select Argon/Mixed Gas

QuickSet Mode
QuickSet wire diameters available depend on wire/gas
type selected.
Manual Mode
In Manual Mode, Voltage and
manually set. Refer to the Weld Guide located on the Wire
Feed Compartment Door for recommended setting values.
