6.5.2. IVCK test without remote unit

• The maximum voltage between the P1, C1, P2 and C2 inputs is 1500VDC.
Do not measure voltages exceeding the limits given in this manual.
• Do not perform tests on PV modules or strings connected to the DC/AC
converter.
• The maximum current measured by the instrument is 40A
• Standard IEC/EN62446-1 requires that measurements are performed string
by string. Even if the instrument is designed to handle inrush current for
single strings or strings connected in parallel, we recommend testing one
string at a time in accordance with the standard.
• The final result is obtained by comparing the results obtained on each
module/string without any correction for irradiance or temperature. It is
therefore recommended that this mode is only used in sufficiently
stable environmental conditions (clear skies, no reflected irradiance, no
shading)
1. Switch on the instrument by pressing the ON/OFF key
2. Note the presence of the "
absence of an active SOLAR03 remote unit connected to the instrument. If not,
execute the "Unpair" command for the currently active unit (see § 6.2)
3. Connect the instrument to the module/string being tested as shown in Fig. 45. In
particular, connect the Negative pole of the module/string to the P2, C2 terminals and
the Positive pole from the module/string to the P1, C1 terminals

4. In the case of Monofacial modules, the Fig. 46 screen is present on the display. The
following parameters are shown:
➢ VPN voltage between positive and negative pole of the string
➢ Module temperature with "- - -" indication
➢ Module irradiance with "- - -" indication
➢ Display of currently selected PV module
➢ References of C1, P1, C2, P2 terminals connected to the instrument
