This chapter provides information about the controls, indicators, and
connectors of the STU-III/R. Figure 3-1 shows the controls,
indicators and connectors located on the STU-III/R front panel.
C O N T R O L S
The toggle switch located on the front panel
that is used to apply or remove electrical
power to or from the STU-III/R.
P o w e r S w i t c h
The pushbutton switch located on the front
panel that is used during the STU-II and
STU-IIl fill procedures (see Chapter 6).
F i l l B u t t o n
The locking toggle switch located on the front
panel that is used to erase all keying
m a t e r i a l s t o r e d i n t h e S T U - I I I / R i n a n
emergency situation (see Chapter 6). This
s w i t c h l o c k s i n b o t h t h e z e r o i z e a n d
operational position.
