– Exit
Targeted fault-finding
– Remove ignition key (for vehicles with interface for entry and
start system, switch off ignition and open the driver's door for
at least 5 seconds).
– Disconnect ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester.
– Drive vehicle out of workshop so that the vehicle has GPS and
GSM reception.
– Switch on the ignition and leave switched on for at least 10
minutes, but do not connect the vehicle diagnosis tester .
The status LED -1- is lit red after ignition is switched on.
When successfully activated after the communication profile has
been downloaded, the colour of the status LED -1- changes from
red to green as you wait.
– Checking the functions of the Škoda Connect services (see ⇒
Owner's Manual Octavia III ). If they are not active, restart the
infotainment unit (press the switch-on button/virtual switch-on
button on the display unit for approx. 15 seconds until the in‐
fotainment unit restarts).
If the status LED is still red even after 10 minutes since ignition
was switched on:
Connect the ⇒ Vehicle diagnostic tester (address 0075 - read
measured values) and then read the following blocks:
♦ Network Connectivity
♦ GSM signal strength
♦ GPS signal strength
If the measured values are OK and the status LED:
♦ is red
♦ is green and the control unit for emergency call module and
communication unit - J949- is not communicating or the Škoda
Connect services are not available (see ⇒ Owner's Manual
Octavia III )
– Create a DISS ticket (a technical repair request, DISS mes‐
sage) and send it to the Technical Service Centre (TSC).
