REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Remove the following:
-
cylinder
head
(page
10-19)
-
primary drive
gear (page
11-14)
-
clutch
outer (page
1
1-10)
Remove
the
bolt
[1]and
front
cam chain guide
A
[2].
Remove
the bolt
[3],
front cam
chain
tensioner
[4],
and
collar
[5].
Remove the
front
cam chain
[6].
Remove
the
bolt [1]
and
Tear
cam chain guide
A
[2].
Remove
the
bolt [3], rear cam chain tensioner [4]
and
collar [5] (from
the
inside of the tensioner).
Remove
the rear cam chain
[6]
and timing sprocket
[7]
from the crankshaft.
lnstallation
is
in
the
reverse order
of
removal.
NOTE:
.
Install the
timing
sprocket
with
the
flange facing
out,
aligning the
wide
groove with the wide tooth.
.
lnstall each collar into
the
inside of the tensioner.
.
Apply
locking
agent to the threads of the cam
chain
guide and
tensioner
bolts
(page
1-17)
TORQUE:
Cam
chain tensioner
bolt:
26 N.m
(2.7
kgf
.m,19 lbf.ft)
Cam
chain guide A bolt:
12
N.m
(1.2k91.m,9 lbf.ft)
INSPECTION
lnspect
the
following
pafis
for
scratches,
damage,
abnormal wear, or
deformation,
Replace if necessary.

cam chains
-
cam chain guides
-
cam chain tensioners
-
timing sprocket
