INSPECTION
lnspect
the following
parts for damage, abnormal wear,
deformation,
or burning.
-
oil
pump shaft
-
drive pin
-
inner rotor
-
outer rotor
-
oil pump body
-
drive and driven sprockets
-
drive chain
lnspect the
pressure relief valve
in the
same manner as
the relief
valve
on
the crankcase (page 9-6).
Measure
the
oil
pump
clearances according
to
LUBRICATION SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS
(page
1-
7).
lf any
measurement
is
out of
the service limit, replace
the
oil pump as an assembly.
