Notes on water hoses, gas pipes and warm air and exhaust ducts
The hoses, pipes and ducts must be routed in such a way that the
device is easy to remove for service work.
To ensure the correct function, pipes and ducts must be laid tension-
free and as short as possible.
Do not crush or kink pipes and ducts.
Warm air ducts and exhaust ducts might warm up the environment.
Make sure that there is no material in contact with the warm air ducts
which suffers from heat. Keep a distance of least 10 mm.
The water hoses for connecting to the water heater and the safety and
drain valve must be safe for drinking water, pressure resistant up to
4.5 bar (450 kPa) and hot water-resistant up to +80 °C.
Notes on connection to the gas supply
Check the compatibility of the data plate information with the gas sup-
ply requirements of the vehicle.
Notes on electrical system
Only a qualified electrician should connect the device to the electrical
power.
Check that the voltage specification on the data plate is the same as
that of the power supply.
Do not lay cables which are loose or bent next to electrically conduc-
tive material (metal).
Protect cables from sharp edges.
TwinBoost6000H, TwinBoost 8000H only: Install an all-pole
switch with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm on the installation
side for the AC supply (230 V).
If the device is powered by the mains (TwinBoost6000H,
TwinBoost 8000H only): Ensure that the AC voltage supply has a
residual current circuit breaker.
Notes on connection with a solar system
A
NOTICE! Damage hazard
The electronic of the device can be damaged by an irregular
voltage supply from the solar system.
Always use a voltage regulator or a battery with charger reg-
ulator between the device and the solar panel according to
EN 1648.

Mounting and connecting the device

1. Mount the device according to fig. d, page 4.
2. Mount the control panel according to fig. e, page 4 to
fig. g, page 5.
3. Mount the temperature sensor according to fig. h, page 5.
4. Install the exhaust duct and cowl according to fig. j, page 5 to
fig. m, page 6.
Guide the exhaust duct directly after the unit in a curve to the side
or upwards according to fig. i, page 5. This helps to prevent rat-
tling and reduce noise.
Fix exhaust duct at least every 50 cm (fig. i, page 5) using
clamps (accessory).
5. Install the warm air ducts according to fig. n, page 6 and
fig. o, page 6.
6. Observe water connection scheme: fig. p, page 6.
7. Mount the safety and drain valve and connect to cold water supply
according to fig. q, page 6 to fig. r, page 7.
8. Connect the hot water outlet according to fig. s, page 7.
9. Connect the venting hose according to fig. t, page 7.
10. Ensure that the operating pressure of the gas supply and the device
are the same, see data plate.
11. Connect to the gas supply according to fig. u, page 7.
EN
12. Connect the device to power supply according to fig. v, page 7.
You can use D+ connection if no safety shut-off device (according
to UN ECE regulation 122) is installed.
Make sure that at least 12 V is available at the device.
Legend to fig. v, page 7
No.
Description
1
Window switch (optional accessory)

Room temperature sensor
13. Use a cable tie to secure the DC power supply cable, control panel
cable and temperature sensor cable to the cable guide eyelet at the
inside of the housing.
This provides stress relief and aligns the cables with the exit hole in
the electrical cover.

Initial start-up

1. Attach the supplied sticker according to fig. w, page 7.
2. If data plate is no more accessible after installation, attach the accom-
panied data plate (copy) to a place close to the device that is accessi-
ble.
3. After installation, have the tightness of the gas supply line checked by
a specialist, using the pressure drop method, and a test certificate
issued (in Germany, e.g. in accordance with DVGW worksheet
G 607).
4. Set value for under voltage alarm according to fig. x, page 8.
5. Set the following settings (see operation manual):
Max. fan speed in silent mode
Min. fan speed in ventilation mode.
6. Mark the year of installation on the data plate.
7. Supply the owner of the vehicle with the operating manual.
8. Check all functions of the device, especially the emptying of the
water heater.
When a brand-new device is initially put into operation, smoke and odors
may develop for a short time.
➤ In this case, ensure that the interior is well ventilated and operate the
device for a few minutes at the highest temperature level for self-clean-
ing:
Set room temperature to max. value
Choose auto mode for air heating
Choose hot mode for water heating.

Replacing fuses

!
WARNING! Elecrocution hazard
Before servicing or changing the fuses, switch off the device,
shut the gas supply and disconnect DC (12 V) supply.
TwinBoost6000H, TwinBoost 8000H only: Discon-
nect the AC (230 V) supply.
➤ Replace broken DC fuses according to fig. y, page 8. Only use fuses
with the same value.
