Caution
 The lightning arrester can only be used on 10/100M Ethernet copper ports (using RJ-45
connector).
 The lightning arrester is not delivered with the device, so you need to buy it according to the
actual needs.
 The lightning arrester manual provides the technical parameters of the lightning arrester
and the maintenance and installation instructions. Read it carefully during installation.
The following situations in the installation will affect the performance of the lightning
arrester. Pay attention to them:
The installation direction of the lightning arrester is incorrect. The IN terminal should be

connected to the external cable, and the OUT terminal should be connected to the network
port of the all optical i-Share master AP.
The lightning arrester is not well grounded. The ground wire for the lightning arrester

should be as short as possible to ensure good contact with the ground terminal of the all
optical i-Share master AP. After the connection is completed, confirm with a multimeter.
The lightning arrester is not fully installed. When the all optical i-Share master AP has

more than one network ports connected to other devices, install lightning arresters for all
these network ports to make protection effective.
