Keypad, LCD Display

7.5.1 Remove
Equipment Required: Black stick
1. Lift board out carefully then swing in an arc away from housing using the attached LCD flex
ribbon as a pivot point. See Figure 7-7.
2. Remove keypad by just peeling it out of position.
3. Open flex trap door on board to disengage LCD flex ribbon.
4. Insert stick between LCD Display and housing near audio jack relief. Twist stick while gently
prying up side of LCD module until it releases from two of its four clamps. See Figure 7-8.
5. Repeat for opposite side at PTT/volume relief.
7.5.2 Install
1. Position LCD module in compartment so that boss holes and boss pins align.
2. With bosses aligned, push down firmly on one side of LCD module with pressure only on
display frame until module clicks in place. Repeat for opposite side.
NOTE: Do not push on black middle glass area of LCD module.
