The H P 3562A allows to you define the P1 and P2 10cations from
The User Limits Menu
the instrument. When USER LIM ITS is active, the plotter uses the analyzer's definitions of P1
and P2, not its own. You can also read the current P1 and P2 locations as defined on the
plotter. Press USER LIM ITS to display the following menu:
SET P1
LWR LF
SET P2
UPR RT
READ
PEN � P1
READ
PEN � P2
ABORT
HP-IB
RETURN
P1 is the lower left corner of the plot, and P2 is the upper right corner. The screen's aspect ratio
is 4.9:3.7 (X:Y). HP-GL assigns the origin to the lower left corner olthe plotter's usable area.
The values entered for P1 and P2 are an X-Y coordinate pair separated by a comma. For
example, entering a P1 10cation of 250,100 sets the lower left corner 250 units to the right and
100 units above the corner. Refer to your plotter's programming manual for more information.
Used to specify the location of P1.

Reads the current location of the plotter's pen into tile
H P 3562A's P1.
Reads the current location of the plotter's pen into the
HP 3562A's P2.
Aborts HP-IB operations. Use this if the plotter fails to
respond to one of the READ PEN softkeys.
Redisplays the USER LIMITS menu.
