Introduction
The trip computer gives you information on cur-
rent and average fuel mileage, average speed,
fuel range and driving time.

The fo llowing information is contin uously evalu-
ated by the trip computer and can be displayed
sequent ially in the instrument cluster display:
Fuel range
The estima t ed cruising range in miles (km) ap-
pea rs in the disp lay. This tells you how far your
veh icle will be able to t ravel on the cur rent tank
of fuel and with the same driving style. The dis-
play changes in increments of 5 miles (10 km).
The cruising range is calcu lated based on t he fuel
consumption for the last 18 m iles (30 km). If you
drive conse rvatively, the cru is ing range will in-
crease.
Average fuel mileage
The avera ge f uel economy in MPG (l/ 100 km)
since you last clea red the memory appears in this
disp lay. You can use this dis play to adj ust your
driving technique to achieve a desired mileage .
Current fuel mileage
The instant aneous fuel cons umption in miles per
ga llon (l/ 100 km) is shown in this display. You
can use t his disp lay to adjust your driving techni -
que to ach ieve a desired mileage .
Fuel cons umption is recalcu lat ed at inte rvals of
33 yards (30 meters) . This disp lay switches t o
ga llons/ho ur (liters/hour) when t he vehicle is not
moving.

Average speed
The average speed in mp h (km/h) s ince you last
rese t the memory appears in t he display .
Elapsed time
The length of time that you have been driving
s ince you last reset t he memory appears in t his
display.
Distance
The distance that has been covered since t he last
time the memory was cleared appears in the dis-
play.

Tips
- Fuel consumptio ns (average and current),
range and speed are disp layed in metric
units on Canad ian mode ls.
- All stored values will be lost if the vehicle
bat t ery is discon nect ed .
Memories
The trip computer is equipped with two fully au -
tomatic memories as well as an efficiency pro-
gram*.

You can switch between the t rip computer 1 and
2 and the efficiency program * by pressing the
IRESET I
button @ c:> page 23, fig. 11 .
