Fuel and Refueling
Gasoline additives
A major concern among many auto manufactur-
ers is carbon deposit build-up ca used by the type
of gasoline you use .
Although gasoline grades d iffer from one manu-
facturer to another, they have certain t hings in
common. All gasoline grades contain substances
that can cause deposits to collect on vital engine
parts, such as fue l injectors and intake valves . Al-
though most gasoline brands include addit ives to
keep engine and fuel systems clean, they are not
equally effective.
Audi recommends using TOP TIER Detergent Gas-
oline. For more information on TOP TIER Deter-
gent Gasoline, please go to the official website
(www.toptiergas.com).
After an extended period of using inadequate
fue ls, built-up carbon depos its can rob your en-
g ine of peak performance.

state laws regarding the use, transportation
and storage of such fuel containers. Make cer-
tain the container meets industry standards
(ANSI/ASTM F852 - 86) .
