Decorative wheel covers
Applies to: vehicles with decorative wheel covers
The decorative wheel covers must be removed
first to access the wheel bolts.

Removing
• Inse rt the hook provided wit h the ve hicle t oo l
kit in t he ho le in the hu b.
• Pull off the decorative wheel cover

Wheels with wheel bolt caps
Applies to: vehicles with wheel bolts with caps
The cops must be removed first from the wheel
bolts before the bolts con be unscrewed .

Remov ing
• Push the plastic clip provided with the veh icle
tool kit over t he wheel bolt cap unt il it engages.
• Pull on the plastic clip to remove the cap

Refitting
• Place the caps over the wheel bo lts and push
them back on.

The caps are to protec t and keep the wheel bo lt s
clean .
Loosening and tightening the wheel bolts
The wheel bolts must be loosened before raising
the vehicle.

Loosening
• Install the wheel bolt wrench over the wheel
bolt and push it down as far as it will go.
• Take tight hold of the
end
of the wrench hand le
and t urn the wheel bolts counter-clockwise
about
one single
t urn in the direction of a rrow

Tightening
• Insta ll the wheel bolt wrench over the wheel
bolt and push it down as far as it will go.
• Take tight hold of the
end
of the wr ench hand le
and t ur n each wheel bo lt clockwise until it is
se ated.

WARNING
- Do not use force or hur ry when changing a
wheel - you can cause t he ve hicle to slip off
the jack and cause serious persona l injuries.
- Do not
loosen the wheel bo lts
more than
one turn
before yo u raise the vehicle with
the jack . - You ris k an injury .

Tips
- Never use t he hexagona l soc ket in the han-
dle of the screwdrive r to loosen or tighten
t he whee l bolts .
