Does the interior of the printer need
o
cleaning?
The rollers may need cleaning. Clean the rollers by
feeding and ejecting paper.

Widen the bottom margin.

Depending on the paper usage, storage conditions,
and the content of the print data, the bottom edge
may be scuffed when printing. In this situation it is
best to create your data with a wider bottom
margin.
When the inside of the printer is
dirty
If the print result is scuffed or dirty, the inside of the
printer may be dirty. Clean it.
❏ Cleaning the roller
Do this if the print results on roll paper, cut
sheets, or poster board are scuffed or dirty.
❏ Cleaning the paper cassette printing path
Perform if print outs from the paper cassette are
soiled or paper particles are on the print out
preventing ink from being applied in those areas.
Cleaning the roller
Follow the steps below to clean the roller by feeding
plain paper.

Turn on the printer, and load an A2 or 17 in.
wide roll paper.

Paper is fed as long as the button is pressed. If
the paper is not soiled, cleaning is complete.

Follow the steps below to clean any soiled areas by
outputting plain paper.

Load several sheets of A2 or 17-in.-wide cut
sheets into the paper cassette.
