Burner Grates and Vent Grille

The grates may be washed eidler

dishw_ksher or you may wash dleIll in hot
soapy water and rinse with clean wamr

put them back on tile
cooktop
wet.
To get rid of bmned-on
food, place die
grams and grille in a covered
container:
Add 1/4 cup (59 mL) ammonia
and let
them
soak several hours or overnight.

rinse well and dry.
'Although
they're
durable,
die gqates
and grille will gradually
lose their shine,
regardless
of the best care you can give
them.
This is due to their confimta/
exposure
to high temperatures.
Do not operate
a burner
for an extended
period
of time without

cookware
to absorb
tile beat.
After cleaning,
replace

the side grams so that

lost, replace

Cooktop Surface
To avoid damaging
tile porcelain
enamel
surfhce
of the cooktop
and to prevent
it
fiom becoming
dull, clean up spills right
away. Foods wkb a lot of acid (tomatoes,
sauerkraut,
fluitj uices, etc.) or foods with
high sugar content
couM cause a dull
spot if allowed
to set.
When tile surface has cooled, wash
and rinse. For other spills such as fat
spatmdngs, etc., wash with soap and wamr
once tlle surfi_ce has cooled. Then rinse
and polish with a &T cloth.

Control Knobs

cleaning
Make sure tile knobs are in die OFF

and pull diem suaight

Make sure tile insides
of the l<a_obsare &T before replacing.
Replace tile Mlobs in tile OFFposition
to ensme proper placement.
Ovenrack
Oven Racks
All oven tacks may be cleaned
by band
with an abrasive
cleaner
or smel wool.
After cleaning,
rinse the racks with clean
water and dt T wifll a clean cloth. Gray

or in the oven. This will help maintain
the ease of sliding the racks in and
