Residual risks

Even­if­properly­operating­and­handling­this­
electric­tool,­some­residual­risks­will­remain.­
Due­to­its­construction­and­build,­this­elec-
tric tool may present the following hazards:
a)­ Cuts
b)­ Ear­damage­if­working­without­
ear protection.
c)­ Damage­to­your­health­caused­by­
swinging your hands and arms when
operating the appliance for longer pe-
riods of time or if the unit is not held or
maintained properly.
Warning!­During­operation,­this­elec-
tric tool generates an electromagnetic
field­which,­under­certain­circumstances,­
may impair the functionality of active or
passive medical implants. To reduce the risk
of­serious­or­lethal­injuries,­we­recommend­
that persons with medical implants consult
their doctor and the manufacturer of their
medical implant before operating the ma-
chine.

and notes on charging and
proper use as shown in the instruc-
tion manual for your battery and
charger of the X 20 V Team series
from Parkside. A detailed descrip-
tion of the charging process and fur-
ther information can be found in the
separate operating instructions.

Charging

Do not expose the battery to
extreme conditions such as
heat and shocks. There is a risk of
injury caused by leaking electrolyte
solution! In case of contact with

eyes or skin, rinse the affected sites
with water or a neutralizer and
seek medical attention.
The battery must only be
charged up in dry areas. The
external surface of the battery must
be clean and dry before being con-
nected to the charger. There is a risk
of personal injuries from an electric
shock.
Only charge batteries of the
X 20 V Team­series­from­PARKSIDE
with­a­charger­of­the­X 20 V Team­series­
from PARKSIDE .
• Charge the battery before using it for
the­first­time.
• Always comply with the latest safety
information,­as­well­as­the­regulations­
and information relating to environmental
protection.

Charging the battery

If­warm,­allow­the­battery­to­cool­be-
fore charging. Charge the battery
(16)­when­only­the­red­LED­on­the­charge­
level indicator (
1.­ If­necessary,­remove­the­batteries­(16)­
from the tool.
2.­ Slide­the­batteries­(16)­into­the­char-
ging slot of an­X 20 V Team­charger
from PARKSIDE.
3. Plug the charger into a socket.
4.­ Once­charging­is­complete,­disconnect­
the charger from the mains supply.
5.­ Remove­the­batteries­(16)­from­the­
charger.
