This must be in accordance with the relevant standards.
The connector is located just below the hotplate level at the
rear of the cooker. If in doubt contact your supplier.
The rear cover boxes limit the position of the supply point.
Because the height of the cooker can be adjusted and
each connection is di erent, it is di cult to give precise
dimensions.
Make sure the gas hose hangs downwards in a 'U' shape
(Fig.8-25) behind the cooker.
It is important that the hose does not twist or knot

n
as this can lead to re and property damage.
IMPORTANT: Suitable sealant MUST be used to
n
n
seal the connection between the valve and wall
connector.
Screw the valve into the wall connector as shown in Fig.8-26,
using suitable sealant, making sure to screw in until tight.
Align the pips inside the hose with the notches on the valve
(Fig.8-27). Once aligned, push the hose fully onto the valve
and rotate the end of the hose clockwise (Fig.8-28). On
release the hose will move back slightly, locking into position.
After completing the gas connection, make sure that the
cooker is gas sound with a pressure test.

Pressure Testing

The gas pressure can be checked at the pressure test point
on the gas inlet pipe. Remove the screw using a spanner. Fit
a suitable pressure measuring device to the end of the test
pipe using tubing.
Turn on and light one of the hotplate burners.
See the data badge for test pressures - located adjacent to
the gas hose.
Turn o the burners and remove the pressure gauge.
Re t the screw and tighten.
Check the appliance is gas sound.

Check the operation of all the burners.
