Disconnect from electricity and gas before servicing. Check appliance is safe when you have nished.

9. Conversion to LP Gas

Check the 'Technical Data' section at the back of the book
that the hob is convertible to the gas you want to use.
A suitably competent person must perform the conversion.
After conversion the installation must comply with the
relevant regulations and also the local electricity supply
company requirements. Read the instructions before
converting this appliance.
Failure to convert the appliance correctly could
n
n
invalidate any warranty or liability claims and lead
to prosecution.
When servicing or replacing gas-carrying
n
n
components disconnect from the gas supply before
starting operation. Check the appliance is gas sound
after completion.
DO NOT use reconditioned or unauthorised gas
n
n
controls.
Disconnect from the electricity supply before
n
n
servicing. Before electrical reconnection, check that
the appliance is electrically safe.
Remove the pan supports and burner heads. For four of the
burners (not the multi-ring burner), remove the large brass
venturi using a suitable spanner, on the top of the burner base
(Fig.9-1).
To access the multi-ring burner (Fig.9-2) you need to remove
both the smaller inner cap and the larger outer cap. Next, lift
o the inner brass ame ring, alongside the outer brass ame
ring. Finally the aluminium ame ring support can be lifted
clear of the burner base.
Replacing the Injectors
For four of the burners (not the multi-ring burner), use a long
box spanner to access and remove the old injectors.
Fit the new injectors: see Table 9-1 for the correct type. Screw
in the hexagon headed venturis (Fig.9-3).
For the multi-ring centre burner, once you have removed
the burner heads and brass ame rings, remove the injectors
using an open-ended spanner. To replace, fully screw in the
brass hexagon shaped injectors, making sure to align the
smaller of the two with the smaller hole in the burner base,
and the larger of the injectors with the larger hole in the
burner base.
Re t the burner heads, making sure they are reassembled in
the correct way on the burner bodies.
Re t the pan supports.
Save the injectors removed from the appliance for possible
future use by the customer.
Note: If you are unable to remove the injectors by lifting o
the burner bases, you will need to remove the control panel
and hotplate. Please refer to sections 'Removing the Control
Panel ' and 'Removing the Hotplate' below
