Studio Beam 575
Changing the Lamp
01) Disconnect mains power supply. Allow the fixture to cool for at least 15 minutes before handling and
replacing lamp.
02) Read lamp instructions.
03) Follow directions for installing a new lamp page 9.
Cleaning VNSP, NSP, MFL and WFL glass lenses
01) Place the fixture with the front facing you. Tilt the fixture slightly (Fig.10).
02) Position the rotation ring with the spring at the top of the fixture, below the retaining clip.
03) Hold the lens by the edge, so that the convex side faces the back side of the device (Fig.09).
04) Dampen a clean lint-free cloth with vinegar or household ammonia. You may also use water, but it
will leave spots that can be removed by gently polishing the lens with a clean and dry cloth.
05) Starting from the center, gently wipe the lens.
06) Gently push the lens until it is positioned properly.
Troubleshooting
No Light
This troubleshooting guide is meant to help solve simple problems.
If a problem occurs, follow the steps below in sequence until a solution is found. Once the unit operates
properly, do not carry out the following steps.
If the light effect does not operate properly, refer servicing to a technician.
Response: Suspect two potential problem areas: the power supply and the lamp.
01) Power supply. Check that the unit is plugged into an appropriate power supply.
02) The lamp. Replace the old lamp with a new one with the same specifications. See page 12 for
replacing the lamp.
03) If all of the above appears to be O.K., plug the unit in again.
04) If you are unable to determine the cause of the problem, do not modify the Studio Beam 575, as this
may damage the unit and the warranty will become void.
05) Return the device to your Showtec dealer.
