CARD REPLACEMENT

THE BACKPLANE CONNECTORS ARE NOT PROVIDED WITH LOCATING GUIDES. IN THE FOLLOWING
PROCEDURE IS IT IMPORTANT THAT THE RELAY CARD CONNECTOR IS ALIGNED WITH THE BACKPLANE
CONNECTOR BEFORE THE MODULE IS PUSHED FULLY HOME.
Insert the relay card into the appropriate slot. Slowly push the card into the backplane, but DO NOT force the card
into the backplane connector. It may take a certain amount of manoeuvring to locate the card's connector into the
backplane connector. If the relay card connector does not locate correctly into the backplane connector a certain
amount of freeplay allows the card to be manoeuvred up and down and from side to side until the connectors are
aligned. Once the connectors are correctly aligned push the relay card home .
Repeat this procedure for all removed relay cards.
Refit the front panels, and loosely secure with the securing screws, but DO NOT tighten any screws until everything
is refitted.
(Note: There is 0.5 mm approx of "free play" on the relay card between the back plane and the front panel. When
tightening the front panel screws the inserted relay card could be pulled out about 0.5 mm. This does not effect the
interconnection on the backplane)
Tighten all screws.
