2. Remove the bolt access covers by
removing the quick fasteners.
3. Remove the windshield by remov-
ing the bolts.
4. Remove the bolts, and then install
the bolts in the desired position.

5. Install the windshield to the low
position by installing the bolts, and
then tighten the bolts to the spec-
ified torque. WARNING! A loose
windshield could cause an acci-
dent. Be sure to tighten the
screws to the specified torque.

Windshield bolt:
7 N·m (0.7 kgf·m, 5.2 lb·ft)
6. Place the bolt access covers, and
then install the quick fasteners.
7. Place the bracket number plate
and then install the bolts with col-
lars.

Handlebar position

The handlebar can be adjusted to one
of two positions to suit the rider's pref-
erence. Have a Yamaha dealer adjust
the position of the handlebar.
