Battery Backup Unit (BBU)
Connector
An onboard SAS battery backup unit
connector is located at BBU1 on the
motherboard for the X9DRFF-7+/7T+
serverboards.
This unit provides extended battery
backup support for onboard LSI 2208
SAS devices to prevent data loss during
a power outage. An optional battery
backup accessory kit is required for
BBU support. Please contact our sales
at Supermicro to purchase a Battery
Backup Accessory kit. Also, contact our
tech support for installation instructions
and possible component updates.
Video Connection
A Video (VGA) port is located next to the
LAN Port 2 on the I/O backplane. Refer
to the layout below for the location.
Power Switch
A power switch (PWR_SW1) is located
next to the VGA port on the motherboard.
