5.4 Electrical connections

try of use.

− Include the solenoid valve in the on-site
equipotential bonding system.
Selecting cables and wires for type of pro-

Î Observe the relevant clauses of
EN 60079-14 for installation of intrinsi-
cally safe circuits.
Î Seal cable entries left unused with screw
plugs.
Î Fit equipment used in ambient tempera-
tures below –20 °C with metal cable en-
tries.

Selecting cables and wires for type of pro-

Î Observe the relevant clauses of
EN 60079-1 for installation.
Î Only use cable entries or conduit systems
that comply with EN 60079-1 and for
which a separate test certificate is avail-
able.
Î Seal cable entries left unused with suit-
able screw plugs.

connected using suitable cable entries or
conduit systems that comply with
EN 60079-1, clauses 13.1 and 13.2
and for which a separate test certificate
is available.
