Opening the doors from
the outside
Opening the front door

Unlock the door, and pull the
door handle.
Opening the rear door
■
Unlock the door, and press the
door opener switch
door handle to open the door.
Make sure to securely press the
door opener switch
side of the door handle.

Rear door opener switch oper-
ating conditions
When all of the following conditions
are met:

The vehicle speed is less than 2
mph (4 km/h)

The door is unlocked

If a rear door cannot be opened
using the door opener switch
Check the following:
●
The 12-volt battery is not
depleted.
●
The door is unlocked.
If a door cannot be opened using
the door opener switch, the door
can be opened using the manual
release button. Firmly press the but-
ton until the door opens.

When opening the rear door
with the manual release button
in low temperatures
If the manual release button
becomes frozen in low tempera-
tures, it may feel heavier to operate.
■
When the vehicle is subjected
to a strong impact
In the event that the vehicle is sub-
ject to a strong impact, the rear door
opener switch cannot be operated
for approximately 10 seconds. In
this case, use the manual release
button.
■
If the rear door opener switch is
operated repeatedly over a
short period of time
The system may restrict operation
to prevent overheating. If this hap-
pens, refrain from operating the rear
door opener switch. Normal opera-
tion will return after a short time.
■
Rear seat reminder function
As the first reminder so as not to for-
get luggage, etc. in the rear seat,
when the power switch is turned off
after any of the following conditions
are met, a buzzer will sound and a
message will be displayed on the
