Other corrective actions for potential problems are as follows:

Defective motor
Hall effect sensor failure
Wire failure
Unit not connected to
electrical power
Circuit breaker blown
Lid open
Sample tubes not located
symmetrically in rotor
Vent hose exhausting
into lab area
Heater inoperable
Vacuum pump failure
Obstruction in hose
Lack of adequate
vacuum
Pump not on
Liquid in glass trap
Control valve open
Leaks in lines or
connectors or gasket
Foreign material on lid
gasket
Latch optical sensor
improperly calibrated
CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace motor.
Replace sensor.
Replace wire.
Connect unit to proper electrical
receptacle.
Correct electrical problem and reset circuit
breaker by pressing button.
Close lid.
Reposition sample tubes.
Redirect hose to fume hood.
Contact Labconco.
Check pump.
Remove obstruction or replace hose.
See below.
Turn on pump.
Empty trap
Check control valve.
Locate and repair.
Clean gasket and lid.
Unplug power cord. Wait 10 seconds. Plug
in power cord
