Are the volume controls of your sound module, audio system, and application
raised?
Check each of the volume controls.
Are the sound module settings correct?
Refer to the owner's manual of your MIDI sound module for more information on settings.
Do you use only OMS?
When installing both FreeMIDI and OMS on your Macintosh, OMS cannot operate
correctly. Delete the files related to FreeMIDI from the "Extensions" folder.
Check the OMS settings
Refer to "Setting up OMS" (p. 22) and check the settings. Make sure that the devices
connected to the UM-1's TO MIDI OUT/TO MIDI IN cables are selected in the music
application software.

The UM-1 does not recover correctly from sleep mode.

After your Macintosh has been in sleep mode, exit the software and re-start it.
* We recommend that you make Energy saving settings in the Control panel so that your
computer does not enter sleep mode.

No sound when testing OMS

Is the setting of the sound module correct?
Refer to the owner's manual of your MIDI sound module connected to the computer, and
check with the settings (such as the computer switch).
Are the volume controls of your sound module and the audio system raised?
check each of the volume controls.
Is the Studio Setup valid?
If a diamond ( ) does not appear in the window's title bar, it means that the Studio Setup is
disabled. Select the "Make Current" from the OMS File menu.
Re-start your Macintosh
Re-start your Macintosh, and check with the settings.
