To change the settings
To change or verify settings
In order to change the driver settings, you must log on to Windows as the Administrator or
other user in the Administrators group. For more information regarding this, consult your
computer system administrator.
1.
When changing driver settings, always make sure to first quit all applications using the
UM-1. This is unnecessary when only checking the settings.

Open the "Control Panel," and double-click "System."
3.
Click the [Hardware] tab, and then click the [Device Manager] button.

Double-click "Sound, video and game controllers."
5.
Double-click "Roland UM-1 USB Driver."
6.
Click the [Properties] tab, and in the Multimedia Devices field, double-click "MIDI Devices
and Instruments."
7.
Select "Roland UM-1 USB Driver," and click the [Properties] button.
8.
Click the [Settings] button to access the "Roland UM-1 USB Driver Settings" dialog box.
9.
To modify the settings, make the changes and click the [OK] button. To simply check the
settings, be sure to click the [Cancel] button after viewing the settings.

Normally, you should leave the check box cleared.
*The setting changes will take effect after you disconnect, then re-connect the USB cable of
the UM-1.
