Log onto Windows as an Administrator, or other user that is a member of the
Administrators group.

Connect the USB cable of the UM-1 to your computer.

Exit all applications before performing the uninstallation.
5.
Open the "Control Panel" and double-click on "System."
6.
Click the [Hardware] tab, and then click the [Device Manager] button.
7.
Double-click "Sound, video and game controllers" to see the list of devices.
8.
From the list, right-click "Roland UM-1 USB Driver." Then choose "Uninstall" from the
menu that appears.
* If the list does not show "Roland UM-1 USB Driver," refer to "Cannot install/uninstall/
use the driver."(p. 34)
9.
A "Confirm Device Removal" dialog box will appear. Make sure that "Roland UM-1 USB
Driver" is shown in the dialog box, and click the [OK] button.
10.
Close the "Device Manager," and in "System Properties" click the [OK] button.
11.
Disconnect the USB cable of the UM-1.
12.
Re-start Windows.
