This is an unvented gas-fired heater. It uses air (oxygen) from the
room in which it is installed. Provisions for adequate combustion and
ventilation air must be provided. Refer to page 6.
INSTALLER: Leave this manual with the appliance.
CONSUMER: Retain this manual for future reference.
This appliance may be installed in an aftermarket, permanently
located, manufactured (mobile) home, where not prohibited by local
codes
This appliance is only for use with the type of gas indicated on the
rating plate. This appliance is not convertible for use with other gases.

Hearthstone Quality Home Heating Products, Inc ECLIPSE VF 8906 CERTIFICATION OMNI-Test Laboratories, Inc. has certified that the Eclipse Wall Mount Vent Free Gas Fireplaces meet the ANSI Z21.11.2-2016 standard. These appliances are approved for installation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters has issued approved these appliances. - Page 12 Hearthstone Quality Home Heating Products, Inc ECLIPSE VF 8906 LEVELING BOLTS INSTALLATION The stove has been bolted to the pallet from underneath the pallet using 4 hex head bolts. These bolts should be removed, and the stove carefully lifted from the pallet.
- Page 13 Hearthstone Quality Home Heating Products, Inc ECLIPSE VF 8906 MOUNTING THE ECLIPSE TO THE WALL All installations require that the Eclipse be securely fastened to the wall. Each Eclipse is packed with a wall mounting bracket. Using the slots on the bracket, locate a stud in the wall and mount the bracket to the wall. Slide the body of the Eclipse into the wall bracket and install the two screws that anchor the stove body to the wall bracket.

Hearthstone Quality Home Heating Products, Inc ECLIPSE VF 8906 GAS SUPPLY LINE The supply line should exit the wall or floor that the fireplace will be installed on at the location specified in diagram suggestion below. We suggest the installation of a shut-off valve in the supply line between the wall and the connection to the fireplace. - Page 15 Hearthstone Quality Home Heating Products, Inc ECLIPSE VF 8906 during any pressure testing of the gas supply system at test pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psi (3.5kPa). 7. After the gas supply has been connected, use a commercial gas leak detector or apply a soapy water solution to all the fittings to check for gas leaks.

The batteries are mounted within the Valve Receiver Module located behind the front stone panel, to the left of the valve. Refer to the illustration below.

Thermostatic Remote Control Optional Wall Switch The Thermostatic Remote Control can be programmed to function automatically—see pages 34-39. The Wall Switch (optional) can be used to turn on, off and to increase or decrease the flame height.

The following procedures should be performed only by a qualified service person. The gas supply should be turned off and the stove should be completely cool whenever a maintenance procedure is performed. - Page 29 Hearthstone Quality Home Heating Products, Inc ECLIPSE VF 8906 Synchronizing the Remote and Valve Receiver Module A code is selected automatically for all Mertik Maxitrol electronics from among 65,000 random codes available. The receiver must learn the code of the handset, which is performed at the factory. If for any reason your appliance stops responding to remote commands, it may be necessary to re-sync the two components.
