Loop Detection and Blocking Function

When a port causes a loop, the corresponding port LED (Left) lights up in orange.
In this case, the port is automatically blocked (Default setting: 60 seconds) to pre-
vent a loop. If the loop is not recovered, the port will be blocked again. Recover
the loop while the port is blocked.
During loop is occurring, or if loop has occurred within the latest 3 days, LOOP HIS-
TORY LED blinks to notify this. You can change the loop detection function set-
tings (Enable/Disable) on the configuration screen. For details about settings on
the configuration screen, refer to Section 4.6.11. If you want to turn off the Loop
History LED display, turn the Switching Hub off and on. Up to 64 saved loop history
entries can be retained in the Switching Hub.
