Replacing Rubber Parts of Master Cylinder

Disassembling Front Master Cylinder
●Remove
the
front
"Disassembling Front Master cylinder" in the "Brake"
chapter).
●Remove the sealing cover [4], spring [11], dust boot
[12] and seal [8].
Special Tools—internal circlip plier:
●Screw out the lock nut [14]and pivot shaft bolt [5] and
then remove the brake handle.
●Remove the spring [11].
●Pull out the piston assembly [10].
●Replacing:
Seal cover: [4],
Spring: [11],
Dust boot: [12],
Seal: [8],
Piston assembly: [10].
Disassembling Rear Master Cylinder
●Remove the rear master cylinder (see "Disassembling
Rear Master cylinder" in the "Brake" chapter).
●Remove spring [A], connector [B] and O-ring seal
[C].
Special Tools—internal circlip plier:
●Slide out the dust cover [D], and remove the spring
[E].
● Pull out the push rod assembly [F].
●Take the piston assembly [G] and reset spring [H].
Note
Do not remove the secondary cup from the
piston, because they may be damaged when
removed.
●Replacing:
Snap spring: [A],
O-ring seal: [C],
Snap spring: [E],
Push rod assembly: [F],
Piston assembly [G],
Diaphragm: [I].
