Connect an AV device that supports CEC control to the
HDMI/CEC output port on the receiver (
to automatically turn display power on or off based on whether
an active signal is detected at the selected input.
The HCR 102 sends CEC driver commands to the display for
basic control functions. CEC control is pre-configured and works "out of the box" but it can be customized further using GC.
NOTE:
It can take up to 2 minutes after powering up the receiver to initiate CEC display control.
Grounding
If the HCT 101 EU or HCT 101 MK transmitter is not mounted to a grounded metal
junction box, Extron recommends connecting the unit to an earth ground to protect
the unit from electrostatic discharge.
To ground the unit:
Securely terminate a grounding cable with a ring terminal.
1.
Remove the grounding screw in the upper right corner of the rear panel, insert
2.
the grounding cable, replace and securely fasten the screw (see the figure at
right). Do not overtighten the screw. Maximum torque is 2 inch-pounds (0.2
Newton-meter).
Connect the other end of the grounding cable to an earth ground.
