C VIDEO/SAT OUT L/R jacks
Use audio cords (not supplied) to connect an
optional analog component (VCR or MD deck,
etc.) to these jacks. You can then output audio to
the component from this system.
D COMPONENT VIDEO OUT
jacks
Use an optional video cord to connect a TV. If
your TV accept progressive format file signals,
you must use this connection and set
"COMPONENT OUT" to "PROGRESSIVE" in
"Adjusting the TV screen" (page 29).
E VIDEO OUT jack
Use a video cable (supplied) to connect the
video input of TV to this jack.
F S VIDEO OUT jack
Use an S video cord (not supplied) to connect an
optional TV to this jack. You can enjoy higher
quality video images.

Listening to audio from a

Use buttons on the unit for the operation.

Connect audio cords.
See "Hooking up optional components" on
page 55.

Press VIDEO/SAT to switch the
function to VIDEO or SAT.
Start playing the connected component.
Notes
• If you cannot select "SAT" by pressing VIDEO/SAT
repeatedly, hold down VIDEO/SAT and then press
?/1 while the power is on. The function will change
from "VIDEO" to "SAT", and "SAT" will appear in
the display. To change back to "VIDEO", repeat the
same procedure.
• If the sound is distorted or too loud when "VIDEO"
is selected or you want to switch back to "SAT",
repeat the operation described above to switch to
"SAT".
• You cannot switch the VIDEO/SAT function in
Power Saving Mode (page 50).
