Listening to audio from a
connected component

Connect the audio cords.
See "Hooking up optional components" on
page 30.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly until "MD"
or "VIDEO" appears.
Start playing the connected component.
Tip
If you cannot select "VIDEO" by pressing
FUNCTION repeatedly, turn off the system, then
press ?/1 while pressing FUNCTION. The function
will change from "MD" to "VIDEO", and "VIDEO"
will appear in the display. To change back to "MD",
repeat this procedure.
Note
You cannot perform the above procedure during
Power Saving Mode.
Recording audio from a
connected component

Connect the audio cords.
See "Hooking up optional components" on
page 30.

Start recording manually.
See "Recording to a tape" on page 21.
Tip
If you cannot select "VIDEO" by pressing
FUNCTION repeatedly, turn off the system, then
press ?/1 while pressing FUNCTION. The function
will change from "MD" to "VIDEO", and "VIDEO"
will appear in the display. To change back to "MD",
repeat this procedure.
Note
