5.6 Register an IoT Hub Device

In this section, you create a new device instance and register it with the IoT Hub you created. You
will use the connection information for the newly registered device to securely connect your physical
device in a later section.
To register a device:
1. You can Create Device with help of Azure IoT Explorer as below

2. In this stage, you have to give Device ID, Authentication type, Primary thumbprint, Secondary
thumbprint then click on Create. Use fingerprint generated in previous section (Figure 31) for the
primary and secondary thumbprints.
