Front fan
Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 1 "Important safety information" on page 1 and print the following
instructions.
1. Turn off the computer and remove all connected devices and cables.
2. Unlock any locking device that secures the computer cover.
3. Remove the computer cover. See "Computer cover" on page 54.
4. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 56.
5. Remove the storage drive bracket. See "Storage drive bracket" on page 67.
6. Remove the system fan.
Note: The system fan can be on the front or the rear cover of the computer.
7. Install the system fan and install the fan rubber.
8. Reinstall all the removed parts.
9. Reconnect the power cord and all disconnected cables to the computer.
Note: If a locking device is available, use it to lock the computer.
