OVERLOAD PROTECTION
Overload protection is achieved on the EH Control Forage Box by a pressure relief valve. Stop all operation
and follow the EMERGENCY SHUTDOWN PROCEDURE. Always determine the cause of failure.
BEATER CLUTCH ADJUSTMENT
Check the beater clutch periodically to ensure beaters are being
completely engaged or disengaged. Beater engage/disengage clutch
is properly adjusted when there is 1/8" of clearance between clutch
jaw and engaging jaw when control is in the disengage position.
Basic adjustment can be made
by positioning adjusting nut 3 ¾"
from end of shifting rod.
Place the control arm tight against
the nut. Adjust the mounting
bracket in the slotted holes on
the unit until 1/8" clearance is
reached.
Fine adjustment is made by
adjusting nut on shifting rod.

The gearbox to the 1st beater and primary drive chain are tightened
with a common spring, maintain a 1/16" gap between the coils by
adjusting the I-Bolt. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN OR IT WILL CAUSE
THE BEATERS TO TURN FROM THE TIGHTNESS OF THE CHAIN.

the coils. When the gap is less, check the condition of the chains,
