For the pump to function in optimal conditions, the oil quality must be checked regularly.
A thickening of the oil, accompanied by a blackening of the oil and a "burnt" odor, are signs of lubricant
deterioration.
1. Drain the pump (see chapter "Draining the pump").
2. Flush the pump with new oil (see chapter "Flushing the pump").
