Front Panel Troubleshooting
— If the device does not perform correctly, the USB board is faulty. Refer to
"Removing and Replacing the A1–A3 and Other Front Panel
Subassemblies" on page

A1 Front Panel Interface Board

This assembly performs the following functions:
— It routes USB signals between the front-panel USB connector and the A21
CPU board.
— The speaker produces the audio output from signals supplied by the A21
CPU board.
— It routes key pad commands from the keypad to the A21 CPU board.
— It routes display signals from the A21 CPU board to the A3 display
assembly.
Checking the Speaker
If no audio is heard:
— Verify that the volume is set correctly and the proper sound driver is loaded;
