Installation, connection and first use
Removing the transport
safety devices
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or even death.
■ Make sure the appliance is not con-
nected to the power supply whilst the
transport safety devices are being re-
moved or installed.
There are four transport safety devices (29)
on the back of the device. These must be re-
moved before first use.
1. Loosen the screws of the transport safety
devices (29) using a 10 mm wrench.

2. Remove the transport safety devices (29).

3. Close the openings with the covers (38)
supplied.
4. Keep the transport safety devices in a
safe place. Re-install the transport safe-
ty devices every time the appliance is
moved - when moving home or returning
the appliance!

5. Carefully tip the appliance on its side
and make sure that the styrofoam pad-
ding (40) is also removed. If it is still lo-
cated in the recess in the bottom of the
appliance, remove it.

Installation site

Place the appliance in a frost-proof,
well-ventilated room.
Place the appliance on a surface that is
not exposed to direct sunlight.
Place the appliance far away from heat-
ers that burn oil or coal.
Place the appliance in a place where
there is a bathtub or sink.
