2. Secure the other end on the water inlet
hose to the tap by hand. Then turn the
union nut (43) clockwise.
3. Open the valve completely and check
whether the connections on the appliance
and on the valve are sealed.
4. Then close the tap again.
Creating an electrical
connection
WARNING

Touching live parts may result in severe

■ Do not put into operation if the
mains cord is faulty or the appliance
displays other visible damage.
■ Never connect the appliance via a
multiple socket.

Plug the mains plug into a properly in-
stalled and earthed electric socket that
has been sufficiently secured (220-240 V,
50 Hz, 10 A).
Installation, connection and first use
Commissioning and test run
The appliance requires an initial wash cycle
without laundry, but with detergent. The aim

of this is to rinse out possible residues from
production.
1. Fill a maximum of 25 ml of compact de-
tergent into the left filler compartment II.
2. Make sure that the drum is empty.
3. Push the appliance door (25) tightly
closed.
4. Carry on, as described in chapter „Stand-
ard cycles" on page EN-19; use the 'Cotton'
cycle here.
First use is completed once the cycle has fin-
ished.
