Installation, connection and initial commissioning
• Check whether the transport route and
the installation site are suitable for the
weight of the washing machine. If in
doubt, ask your landlord or property man-
agement.
Removing the transport
safety devices
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Touching live parts may result in severe
injury or even death.
■ Make sure that the appliance is not
connected to the mains while you are
removing or installing the transport
safety devices.
There are four transport safety devices on the
back of the device. These must be removed
before first use.

1. Loosen the screws of the transport safety
devices (23) using a 10 mm wrench.

2. Remove the transport safety devices (23).

3. Close the openings with the covers (30)
supplied.
4. Keep the transport safety devices in a
safe place. Re-install the transport safe-
ty devices every time the appliance is
moved – when moving home or returning
the appliance!

5. Carefully tilt the appliance on its side,
and make sure that the styrofoam pro-
tector (31) is also removed. If it is still in
the recess in the base of the appliance,
remove it.
