Recommendations on compaction
Soil conditions
The maximum compaction depth of the soil depends on several factors relating
to the nature of the soil, such as water content, grain-size distribution etc.
It is therefore not possible to specify a given layer depth.
Note:
Only use suitable lifting equipment with a minimum lifting capacity of 40 kg
for the transport of the vibration rammer.
Always switch off engine during transport!
Attach appropriate securing devices to the central lifting point (1) provided for
this purpose.
Tie down the vibration rammer securely (2, 3) during transport on the loading
surface of a vehicle
Also refer to the specifications in Chapter, Safety Instructions.
In each case determine the maximum possible compaction depth
through compaction tests and soil samples
