and damage parts. Use only a clean cloth to remove dirt, oil, grease and dust.
If too many sparks occur, check the carbon brush.
Make sure that no liquid enters the tool.
If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged, it must be replaced by a specially
prepared cord available through the service organization.
In order to be able to make optimal use of the scouring machine, always use original
accessories, which are available in all specialist shops.
Caution: Water must never come into contact with the tool.
Control and replacement of the carbon brush
For safety reasons, the tool stops automatically when the carbon brush is so worn that it no
longer has contact with the motor. In this case, the carbon brush must be replaced by an
identical brush. Two fitting carbon brushes are included in the package. They are also
available for sale from an after-sales service or a qualified technician specializing in the
maintenance of power tools.
CAUTION! Before replacing the carbon brush, always turn the tool off and unplug the power
cord from the electrical outlet.
CAUTION! Use only correct carbon brushes. The carbon brush must be replaced by an
identical brush, either one included in the package or one available from an after-sales service
or a professional.
To replace the carbon brush, use a screwdriver to open the carbon brush cover and pull out
the old carbon brush. Replace it with a new one and close the carbon brush cover again with
the screwdriver.
Control and replacement of milling stars
CAUTION!
Pull out the mains plug before retooling.
The milling stars may be hot. Wear protective gloves!
Change only the milling stars.
In case of damage, the capstan may be replaced only in an authorized service centre.
Dust produced during milling can stick to the milling stars, which reduces the performance of
the machine and accelerates its wear.
