    The RAS-Extend M antenna positioner unit controls the alignment of the antenna for the RAS-Extend M system. Two pairs of RF ports conduct the RF signals between the static base ports and the moving platform. Control signals and power are provided by the RAS-Extend M wireless terminal.

The 10-pin to 43-pin cable transfers power and control signals from the wireless terminal to the antenna positioner unit.

    2.11 GPS Antenna Kit The RAS-Extend M uses a set of two (2) active-type GPS antennas. The two RF ports (TNC / F) conduct RF signals between the GPS antenna system and the wireless terminal (N-Type / F). using a TNC / M to N-type / M cable.

    Survey for RF Access to Sector Controllers For best results: Mount the RAS-Extend M in a location that provides an unobstructed view of the horizon in 360 degrees. Avoid mounting the RAS-Extend M antenna close to metal objects that may block or reflect the signal.

    It is important to conduct a site survey before installing the GPS antenna. A poorly installed or badly located GPS antenna can cause interference and will not provide the necessary information for correct operation of the RAS-Extend M system. IMPORTANT: The maximum recommended total length of the Ethernet cable is 100 m (330 ft) from the wireless terminal to the network equipment.
