Basic Call Features

The T21P E2 IP phone is designed to be easily used like a regular phone on a public
switched telephone network (PSTN). You can place calls, answer calls, transfer a call to
someone else, or conduct a conference call.
This chapter provides basic operating instructions for the T21P E2 IP phone. Topics

Placing Calls
You can place a call in one of three ways using your T21P E2 IP phone:
Using the handset
Using the speakerphone
Using the headset
You can also dial the number first, and then choose the way you want to speak to the
other party.
During a call, you can alternate between Speakerphone, Headset and Handset modes
by pressing the Speakerphone key, the HEADSET key, or by picking up the handset.
The call duration of the active call, called party's name and phone number are visible
on the LCD screen. In the figure below, the call to "Tom" (the phone number: 1058) has
lasted 8 seconds.
